Youth ministers often pick the stereotypical "speaker holding a microphone and Bible" picture for a bio. St. Paul said we should become all things for all people (1 Cor 9:22). So for our chicken dinner fundraiser, I became a Chic-Kenn. Get it? Sometimes I make people laugh but mostly they just groan.

Why does this website exist?
Hi! My name is Kenn deMoll and I started this website as part of my thesis project for my Masters in Church Ministry from St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, MD.
My project is to try and create a virtual sponsor formation program that can be done via ZOOM. My hope is also a formation experience that is unique and "flips the script" on what sponsors and ministers expect sponsor formation to be. You are welcome to use what I post here in your own ministry. However, please do not steal my work :)

What else is helpful to know about me? When I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be a Ghostbuster. As I grew up, I made a name for myself by writing an 80 page paper in college the night before it was due and starring as Robin in a film about Batman that has been seen on Youtube over 200,000 times. I earned a B.A. in Early American History from Dickinson College in 2006.
My greatest accomplishment is being a husband (married for 14 years this year!) and a father to five kids on Earth and five in Heaven. I am a convert to Catholicism thanks to an amazing youth ministry program as a teen. I love running, movies, reading and video games. I don't like horses, the color lime green and any amusement park ride that spins you around in circles. I have 17 years of experience working in parish youth ministry and 1 wild and amazing year as a diocesan director of youth ministry in the great state of Montana! I am currently the director of youth ministry and young adult ministry for St. John in Westminster, MD in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
